“Yes, sir. I understand. I have been briefed on the substantially altered parameters of my assignment.” Angel looked briefly at Holly, saying with a smile, “You said that is what he would say.” Holly smiled back at her.

He nodded and turned his attention to Trisha. “Empress,” he asked, “what is the plan for getting us out?” They both ignored Holly stifling a small laugh.

“Not funny, Connie,” Trisha stated, somewhat sharply. “We have out-of-date plans of the complex. Farnier’s personal starship should be down on level 27. At least, I imagine that is what is down there. I expect it’s the ship we followed in from deeper in the Divide. Our Kendians are on their way now to secure the ship. We will meet them there. I intend for us to take his ship out of here. Other than security personnel, there should not be anyone to stop us. That shaft behind the desk looks interesting, though.”
